Walmart Savings Catcher Program

Walmart Savings Catcher

Walmart Savings Catcher Program: Walmart has announced a new program called Savings Catcher for all in-store purchases. What a great program for those of us who don’t like to go to a bunch of different stores in order to hit all the sales.

Here’s how it works: If a local competitor in your area offers a lower advertised price on an item that you recently purchased at Walmart, you get back the difference on a Walmart Rewards eGift Card or a Bluebird by American Express Card. Amounts credited to these Cards can be used to make purchases exclusively in-store at Walmart or online at Walmart.com.

Walmart Savings

Savings Catcher has 3 simple ways to enter your receipts.

  • Enter the receipt number online at www.savingcatcher.walmart.com
  • Scan the code at the bottom of your store receipt using the scanner in the Savings Catcher section of the Walmart app.
  • Register your phone number on the Walmart app or card reading at check out, then each time you check out enter your phone number and your receipt will be submitted.

You can submit up to 7 receipts per week and Walmart will search your area for advertised prices that are lower and give you back the difference in reward dollars. You can let your reward dollars accumulate until you are ready to redeem them for a Walmart Rewards eGift Card or your Bluebird by American Express Card. I think this is the best part of the program, that you can wait until you decide to redeem, instead of getting a bunch of in-store rebate coupons.

We entered our first receipt and the whole process took about 2 minutes the first time to set up the account and enter. We received a credit for $2.15 on just that one receipt. The only negative about this program is it does not include on-line purchases, which we tend to do quite a bit during the holiday season.

Do you know of a great savings promotion being offered this year? Comment below, we would love to check it out.

This offer is valid until 2/28/2015

I have earned a few dollars from Walmart savings, catcher, saved up for Bluebird card. The little money I had earned has disappeared, and when I can reach someone to inquire about it, (at Bluebird), I am told it will appear. Am I the dummy here? No thanks to Walmart and Bluebird!
