Grilling inside is a must during the long winter months in Wisconsin if you are anything like us and don’t enjoy shoveling the snow off your deck. Receiving the Velata Raclette Tabletop Grill from Velata consultant Rheda Wilson-Duff we were thrilled at the thought of a grilling alternative!

The Velata Raclette Tabletop Grill comes with a cast aluminum grill top, a granite stone top grill, 8 raclette dishes, 8 spatulas and a convenient carrying bag. The granite stone top can also be placed in the freezer and used to make cold stone ice cream, can’t wait to try that.

The Raclette Grill package is priced at $140.00 which is quite a bargain for everything you get. Along with the grill, Rheda also sent us 4 of their spices, chocolate sauce & cheese sauce to try out.

For our first test we treated our families to a delicious steak and veggie dinner using the granite stone top that is included in the set. The second test came when we made breakfast using the aluminum grill top for french toast, sausage and hash browns. Both cook tops worked great and our meals were fabulous!

The set up was super easy and we were ready to cook in just a couple of minutes. The granite top heated up pretty quick and our steak bites and veggies were cooked to perfection. I was worried we were going to get smoked out of the house, but there was none.

For dessert we had strawberries and pretzels dipped in the delicious Belgium chocolate. Wow was that good. We recommend you keep an eye on the chocolate, we burnt our first batch.

The only thing that was not included that I would have liked to see is a recipe or meal idea book. Having some suggestions and cooking guidelines is always helpful. We found recipes here and on YouTube.

The Raclette Table Top Grill is going to make our winter’s a little more bearable knowing we can still have delicious grilled food from the warmth of our kitchen’s. This really seems like a great gift idea for those hard to shop for family members.
