I was looking to add a little glow to my skin after the long winter without causing damage to my skin from tanning beds, so I decided to try some self-tanning lotion.

Loreal Sublime Bronze

I purchased the L’OREAL Sublime Bronze at my local big box store. I did some research on how to get the best results without streaking and dark spots. Following the directions,  I used an exfoliating mitten in the shower then applied regular lotion to my knees and ankles. I tried this product only on my legs.

The first thing I noticed was the smell, it was very strong, kind of like an inexpensive perfume. I then noticed my legs looked glittery, I was hoping this was something that would go away once the lotion dried, it did not.

They are definitely truthful when they say instant results, I could not believe how dark my legs where already and as the day went on they got even darker.

Just to see what the results would be after 2 applications I repeated the process the next day, and yes they got darker and the smell was still strong. I believe it was asked of me “Did you take a bath in Aqua Velva?”

Loreal Self Tanning Lotion

I’m not sure if I did a good job on the application process as I am looking at my legs close up and from every angle possible, but when I step back and look at them in the mirror they do look tan.

I need to work on the application around my ankles and feet, so I will be wearing socks and tennis shoes for a few days. I would guess after more applications, I could probably perfect the application.

The only things that might prevent me from using this again are the smell and the time it takes for the lotion to dry.

This product works as advertised and when used properly can provide a sun kissed glow without going outside.
