How to Remove Mold and Mildew from Shower

How to remove mold and mildew from shower. Over time black mold can build up on bathroom caulk and it can be hard to remove. Not only is it a health hazard, it looks terrible.

Moldy shower

If you’ve tried cleaning this stuff, you know it’s nearly impossible. Over the past years I have tried many different way to clean it and nothing has worked. My next step was going to be to remove all of the moldy caulking and re-caulk my shower to get it looking clean again.  I did a little more online research and found a cleaning method that worked amazingly well with no scrubbing required.

All you need is some liquid bleach and some cotton pads. I soaked the cotton pads in the bleach and pushed them into the moldy caulk area. I placed the cotton over the moldy area and let them soak overnight and in the morning my caulk was white again.

I am absolutely thrilled with the results. My shower looks new again or like I re-caulked it. I will for sure be using the bleach and cotton ball method again. Quick and easy!
