Finger Crocheting

Easy Finger Crochet Infinity Scarf Video: For some reason my brain shuts down when I put a crochet hook in my hand, I just can’t seem to figure out how to crochet the conventional way.

I was able to figure out the arm crocheting that I have been checking out on YouTube. After completing a few arm crochet scarves, I was wondering if I could do the same thing using my fingers and get a tighter crochet. Well the answer is yes! I could and I was even more excited when I realized I could easily fit the 12 stitches needed for the scarf width on my fingers.

The great part about this project is all you need is yarn and your fingers. Using 5 or 6 oz yarn gives the scarf a great look. The skeins of yarn that have 106 yards make for a perfect size infinity scarf. I kept a pencil handy to use in case I need to take a break, just slide your loops onto the pencil and you can set it down and start up again when you are ready.

It might take a little practice using just your fingers, but just be patient and you will be amazed at how easy it really is. If you need to start, stop, pause – do it! Don’t give up!

When you complete your finger crochet share a picture of your project with us on our Facebook page, we would love to see it.

Why do my edges roll to the center on my infinity scarf? I made one with looser loops than the first and it does the same thing.

I have watched this video several times and I am having trouble and I think it is because of where the camera is placed. It’s hard to tell what you are doing when the camera is facing you. Is there any way to the camera view showing from your perspective? I know that’s a lot to ask but yours is the only video I like but I am just doing something wrong.

What is the brand of yarn you used for the blue scarf? I haven’t seen anything like it, it looks great!

Hi there I’m wanting to try a 2 toned scarf…can u explain to me how to join the yarn when finger crocheting?….also my scarf rolled in when I did it…why is this?

I have not tried the 2 tone method yet, I would check out a regular knitting video and use that technique. I have found that the scarf will roll when you are not consistent with the the tightness of your loops.
