Peapods with Almonds 350

Pea Pods with Almonds Recipe

Peapods with Almonds

Looking or the perfect side dish to serve with dinner? Pea Pods with Almonds are a delicious treat and good for you.

Ingredients:

Pea Pods
Slivered Almonds
Grape Seed Oil
1 tablespoon of minced garlic
Sea Salt

You can use any kind of pan you like, we prefer a cast iron skillet. Heat up 2 tablespoons of grape seed oil (med-high heat) and toast your almonds to the half way point. Add garlic and pea pods and mix well. Season with sea salt. Stirring often so that you don’t burn your almonds on the bottom of the pan.

Be sure not to cook your pea pods for too long, they taste great when they are still at the crisp point. If you want to mix it up a little bit add a some Sriracha sauce to give the pea pods some heat.

Pistachio Pudding Dessert Recipe

Pistachio dessert

Pistachio Pudding Dessert: This is hands down the best dessert I have had in a while. It’s creamy deliciousness will surely please any crowd.

Dessert Crust:

1 stick melted butter
1/2 cup flour
1 tbls sugar
1 1/2 cup crushed graham crackers

LAYER 1:

1 cup powdered sugar
1 (8oz) cream cheese
1 cup whipped cream (can substitute Cool Whip)

LAYER 2:

2 regular sized packages of instant pistachio pudding mix
3 cups milk

TOPPING:

1 cup whipped cream (can substitute Cool Whip)
chopped pistachios

Mix butter, flour, sugar and graham crackers. Press into 9×13 inch pan. Bake at 350 for 20 min. Let cool.

Graham Cracker Crust

For the first layer mix powdered sugar, cream cheese and whipping cream. Spread evenly on cooled dessert crust.

Second layer, whisk together pudding mix and milk until thick and then put in refrigerator to set up. Once firm spread on top of cream cheese layer.

Top the dessert off with a layer of whipping cream and chopped pistachios. Refrigerate.

Cheesy Sweet Corn Party Dip

Cheesy Bacon Corn Dip

Cheesy Sweet Corn Party Dip: I am a lover of all things food related! When I hear cheese, bacon, jalapenos, I think yes please! This quick and easy appetizer that will have your friends surely asking for the recipe.

I made this for the Super Bowl and prep time is very quick. Fry up bacon, crumble, chop the jalapenos and green onions and that’s it.

Corn dip ingredients

1 pack of bacon (cooked and chopped)
1 12oz bag frozen sweet corn
1 jalapeno (minced)
8 oz cream cheese
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 can Rotel (drain)
4 diced green onions

So easy! We used a small crock pot and added everything at once. Cook on low setting for around 3 hours or high for 1-1/2 hours. Stir from time to time.

Corn Dip

Serve with tortilla chips. If you are making this for a party be prepared that it will be gone faster than the time it took to make it. Don’t open your chips before it’s time to serve. We did a little taste testing before we served this delicious dip to our friends and it was half gone by half-time.

Aspi-Rub review: Relieving pain since 1972. Aspi-Rub spray is a life saver when is comes to any kinds of aches and pains. Not only did we try it out, we had our friends give it a try as well.

Aspi-Rub is a potent and effective topical analgesic for the temporary relief of arthritis, rheumatism, sprains, back aches, muscular aches and cramps. Just spray the affected area and gently massage for long lasting relief.

In order to give a better review we shared this product with a friend who works out everyday and suffers from sore muscles. Another who has been having knee issues. A family member who was suffering from intolerable back pain and we just it for shoulder pain that was most likely caused by stress.

In each case, everyone said the pain was taken away almost immediately. It is extremely fast acting. The only complaint was the smell. So we asked Aspi-Rub about the smell. Having been in the business for years, Anna said that the reason why all liniments have a smell is because the active pain relief and anti inflammatory ingredients all have a distinctive odor.  Aspi-Rub adds peppermint oil to the spray to lessen the odor and make it a bit more pleasant.

Personally I have used many different muscular pain creams and sprays and they all stink. I didn’t think Aspi-Rub was nearly as strong smelling as some. For me, the instant pain relief is worth a little odor. It truly works!

After making the delicious Sriracha Hummus we decided to try cucumber hummus. It is a toss up on which one is better, they are both really good.

The cucumber hummus was creamier than the Sriracha. I am guessing because of the water from the cucumber. The Flavor God Everything Seasoning in this recipe adds just the right touch!

Cucumber Hummus Ingredients

1 tbls minced garlic
1/4 cup Tahini
2 tbls lemon juice
1 tbls olive oil
1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained
1 large cucumber chopped
2 tsp Flavor God Everything Seasoning

So simple! Just add all of the ingredients into your food processor and mix until smooth. Taste and add more seasoning if needed. Serve with pita chips or cut up veggies.

Sriracha Hummus Recipe

How about a little hummus with a kick! If you saw our Sriracha Cauliflower Bites recipe the other day, then you know we love Sriracha.

Sriracha Hummus is incredibly good and you can make it with as little or as much spice as you want. Super easy to make and it’s a great appetizer to bring along to any party.

To mix we recommend using the Kitchen Aid small food processor.

Ingredients:

1 (15 oz.) can chickpeas
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup Tahini
1 Tbsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp cumin
2 Tbsp Sriracha

Sriracha Hummus Ingredients

Start out by draining the can of chickpeas, then add to a food processor along with the olive oil, Tahini, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and cumin. Process until smooth, adding more olive oil as needed.

The original recipe said that you can  add 1/4 – 1/2 cup water, but you can add more olive oil for a creamier hummus and that’s what we did.

Add your heat: Start out with 1 Tbsp of Sriracha and taste. Add more to your liking. We like it hot so we added 2 Tbsp.

We served ours with pita chips and baked almond crackers. It was a hit!

Meatball Recipe

I called this recipe Amazing Meatballs because they were just that. We were actually testing a recipe called Best Baked Meatballs and we can’t argue.

We were shocked by how light and delicious they were. To go with the meatballs we made linguine noodles and garlic bread. Next time we are going get some french bread and provolone or fresh mozzarella and make sandwiches.

Cheese Mixture

In your first bowl combine:

1/2 Cup Fresh Ricotta
2 Tbls chopped parsley
1 tablespoon of ground fennel
1 tsp chili pepper flakes
2 tbls oregano
2 cloves of garlic minced
4 tbls of Parmesan cheese

In 2nd bowl:

2 lbs of ground beef 80/20
2 eggs
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp of salt

Preheat oven to 425 and grease your baking dish. After mixing both bowls separately, combine the two and mix gently together.

Meatballs

Roll your meatballs into desired size balls (ours were golf ball size), drizzle with a little olive oil. Place meatballs on baking sheet next to each other.

Bake for 20 minutes then take out and drain extra fat. Spoon your favorite red sauce over each meatball and bake another 15 minutes.

Sriracha Cauliflower Bites

Sriracha Cauliflower Bites Recipe: One word that describes these spicy little nuggets…addicting. Seriously, we couldn’t stop eating them.

A friend recently posted a recipe for Spicy Buffalo Cauliflower Bites and I knew I need to try them. That recipe called for Franks Hot Sauce. My house is all about Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

1 large head of cauliflower (break into florets)
1 cup water
1 cup flour
1 tbls. garlic powder
1/2 cup Sriracha Sauce
1 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees. You will need a large baking sheet. Even if you use a non-stick pan you should still lightly spray with cooking oil.

Batter

In a medium size bowl combine flour, garlic powder and water. Whisk until completely mixed together.

Place you florets in the flour mixture and coat thoroughly. Once coated place on baking sheet and cook for 20 minutes.

Cauliflower

In a small bowl combine the melted butter and Sriracha sauce together.

Sriracha Sauce

At the 20 minutes mark pour the hot sauce mixture over the cauliflower. I used a basting brush and brushed the hot sauce on. I did this so that I could make some that would be less spicy for my daughter. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Cauliflower Baked

These are crazy good! We served them with celery, blue cheese dressing and ranch dressing. We can’t wait to make them as an appetizer for when we have friends over.

Banana Oatmeal Cookies Weve Tried It

This banana oatmeal cookie recipe tastes too good to be healthy, but it is. Using only 4 ingredients makes for a quick and easy healthy treat.

Ingredients

2 ripe bananas, mashed
1 cup Quick or Instant Oats
1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips
1 heaping tablespoon peanut butter

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350 F. Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Drop a spoonful of dough onto your cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.

The recipe we found didn’t call for putting them in the refrigerator, but we put them in and think they taste better cold.

I would say that eating one is all you need. The sweetness from the banana and dark chocolate really feels like you are indulging.

Our batch made 20 cookies.
